so let's organize everything here . most of us had already done the following : 1.)disable defender and antivirus , or exclude them from scan list , restarted pc , did everything in the initial instructions basically 2.)changed the thread to just 1 3.) already reinstalled the miner still not working. now i'm going to give you a list of things that your team might want to check out . here are some : 1.) others were able to mine using the beginner's poolminer by following the step-by-step guide in downloads.electroneum.com/, no problem, but many were not able to do so even after following everything. that means that it is definitely with the PC and set up. what are the things they have that we don't ? 2.) to break it down more, is there a correlation between laptops, desktops, CPUs and GPUs that others were able to mine while others can't ? 3.) the same processes and troubleshooting were done but still failed to some. could it be hardware limitations or miner's coding errors that prevents certain hardware configuration not to work (e.g. won't work on core2duo below, won't work on 32-bit, won't work on ASUS or certain manufacturers, etc.) 4.) would you advice any other alternatives for the following instead? : * laptop + CPU individual mining * laptop + CPU pool mining * desktop + CPU / GPU individual mining for beginners * desktop + CPU / GPU pool mining for beginners a prompt reply will be awesome. thanks in advance. Sadly I dont work for Electroneum. A few other steps you can try are as said above, ensure your CPU allows AES instructions Also run the application as an administrator and try other pools as they are a bit overloaded at theoment with all the new users

Is anyone here already know how to fix this? or does anyone here know what is really happening with this issue? I also tried everything I've read here and nothing works

I know how to fix that. 1.Open the Electroneum beginners miner folder 2.Then you see next folder:"cpuminer-multi-Wolf-aes" AES means that your cpu MUST suppourt AES(Advanced Encryption Settings) instructions. 3.Google your CPU model and check if it has AES instructions support. If it supports, then you need to google how to turn AES on(usually in BIOS, i found it there). 4.If your CPU DOES NOT suport AES instructions, you need to download GPU miner(e.x. CCminer). Your CPU cant mine this crypto-currency. I hope my advice will help you:) enjoy, it worked for me!!!!!!

tx jerbitcoins, that's the problem I have. I thought it was the problem, now it's confirmed. Unfortunnately I can't mine as my CPU is just to old probably... But I have already purchased my ETN at the ICO... :-)

Many people are having this issue, including me.
