Hi guys.
I have in the few previous days seen an increase in people who on our Telegram spams their referral code to new people on the forum in hope of them using it. This is not ment to be criticism, but merely a reminder why image is SO important for a community which tries to facilitate mass growth for the benefit of the coin AND us all.
First of all, i would like to say i do NOT think that is a great way of doing it AT ALL, and i very much suggest that you stop spamming new people who comes to ask questions, and join the community because;
1. If they have found our Telegram-group, odds are they are already have invested and wanted to join the community.
2. You are scaring the people away from the Telegram-group because of the overly aggressive manner you are spreading your referral code, making it seem less like a business opportunity, and more like something you run away from, not investing.
3. If one was even contemplating about getting a referral code, they would like to at least know the person they are getting it from first, instead of some random dude from the interwebz. They are not more likely to choose yours over anybody elses because you were first.
What i am trying to point out is, earn your referral! Help the new members out, answer questions to the best of your ability, limit peoples uncertainty about the coin, advocate for the coins many good things and last, but not least, make them feel like they are a part of a community! That way you can ask them "Have you already invested?" and then you can gently and tactfully ask if they want a referral code, or suggest they use one, and if they want one, they can ask for yours. Doing it this way has given me almost 100% successrate in people who i have given my referral code to, compared to the people who is actually on my referral list.
Likewise i hope that David snactolate75 on the Telegram, will share his wisdom on how to spread it in a good way to let people be exposed to your referral link without shoving them down your throat. The referral code is used to incentivize the members of the community to do a bit of work for a really amazing 5% bonus on any purchase they make.
Are you really interested in having 80%+ hit rate with people using your referral code, so that 80 people out of a 100 actually use it? Or do you rather want to spam it to 100 people and have 10 at the maximum use it?
In the end, helping new members and bringing them into the telegram-group, onto this Forum is a great way of activating those members into becoming part of the community, so they in the long run help yourself and help the coin with bringing value to the coin. New members = a better position for Richard to push the coin with = more value to the coin.
So whatever YOU do personally, affects the value in the long run! If you bring 20 people in, and each of those people bring 10 people here, you are looking at bringing a total of 200 people in, and if those 200 people just bring 5 people in, we're looking at a grand total of 1200 people referred.
The point being is that if you educate the people that you are in touch with, they get active in the community, look further into the coin, get their questions answered, and in the long run, they will bring a lot of people into this coin.
If you just give them a referral code you are literally saying to them "Hey, i want you to buy this because i want some more money, i can see the idea behind this coin, but i will not share it with you". Is that a message you would like in the first place when you started looking into Cryptocurrencies?
I hope that we can together bring this coin into the broad market, and be a shining example on how to collectively manage communities, instead of being arrogant and greedy, not answering questions, helping out and just pushing a referral code onto people.
Likewise i hope that David, administrator of this forum, will share his amazing tips on how to spread your referral code effectively, as he has referred numerous people with various tactics. Remember, in the end we are in this together, and you doing a better job affects us all, which is why we should be open. Pushing your referral down peoples throat hurts us all in the community. You are representing this community, do your best!
