Yeah, NiceHash coming tonight. For advertisment... We are top5 on product hunt, quite some twitter attention. But it's hard to get the few with decent hashrates.

Yeah thats what i mean maybe you need a server generating the hashrate you need while you wait for a steady user base, for example I'm willing to help you guys there is just no point at the moment me leaving my computer mining if im not making no coins at all. I read somewhere else you said alot of users are joining starting the miner once then dont use it again, im one of the guilty people for this i didnt relise you wouldnt be getting any blocks at the moment and alot of people might have had the same thoughts as me or some might even think the miner is broke if this is the first time they have mined.

Apologies if this has already been answered elsewhere. Does anyone know why the xmr client quotes a hashrate of 300(cpu)+600(gpu) but the minekitten page says I have a hashrate of 400? I also saw this with hashparty and the eu pool but the difference wasn't as large. Any ideas?

I spent 1h trying to use nicehash on hashparty or official pool, nothing working even on special nicehash port of hashparty. I lost a lot in fees because my orders were dying.
On first attempt on minekitten with nicehash port 9999, it worked. Good job. I will probably let my 24h of nicehash on this pool.

Everything is working great. I've tried both HashParty and EasyHash, and this one is by far the best setup. Low fees, responsive webpage, and great info for all you beginners. I got 1 PC and a 2 GPU mining rigs on here now. Planning to add more as I can! Let's get those blocks!!!

Returned back to minekitten hash party kept not connecting for me and my miner ended up just trying to reconnect for hours and wasted time. Was able to get 1 payment with minekitten so probably gonna stick here. So far have had no problems

Thanks for all the nice comments and heartwarming words We really try to deliver a good experience. For NiceHash. Yes, I noticed disconnets when I tried it first, too. So we decided to especially run another pool instance for port 9999 with a totally different setup to ensure no disconnects and best speed possible. So far, we believe it works. At least we are quite happy with our NiceHash performance So just keeping my fingers crossed to find blocks regularly (1 a day) from now own and see if we can slowly gain more users. If you ever experience any types of problems or have some suggestions, feel free to get in touch.

how many people do you need to get a new block? It's not so much about the people as it is about the hash power of the pool. Obviously, more people means more hash power, but it's hard to draw that correlation. So we need either A LOT of new beginners or a few dozen heavy miners. If we could get closer to 1 MH/s I think we would be getting blocks a little more regularly. Right now it is still hit or miss every couple days.

Yeah, at current speed we should get a new block twice a day. But that is just calculated. There is luck and bad luck sadly. Hold on. User base is still growing and we try to enhance minekitten as best as possible.
New guide from Wallet creation to transfering ETN is coming with the wallet generator, hopefully today.
