Just out of interest, I'm wondering how many of you will be mining and how much .... desktop or mobiles? whats your choice?

Not sure yet, definitely one mobile and one laptop, see how many I can get on those... if not enough(!) then will look into resurrecting an old desktop Mac as well.
Presumably we need to adjust our power settings on computers so they run all the time and don't sleep?
Not quite sure about when they talk about cores how I find out how many the computer has?

If you need to find out info about your device i would suggest downloading this little tool. will give you all the infomation you'll need www.cpuid.com/downloads/cpu-z/cpu-z_1.81-en.exeIt was suggested that if your mining on a device you will be using for other activities such as gaming or working on you should be looking to use half the cores only for mining, which you can chose when setting up the mining programe, so that you have enough cpu power to continue doing your other activities unhindered. If you have a laptop or pc that you will use just for mining and nothing else.. then utilise all cores available for max mining abilitiy.
