Im obviously a mining noob so i cant really be sure of what i am seeing on my terminal screen however i have used the start_mining commande along with my paperwallet address.
I have been running the miner for 6 hours.
2017-11-01 17:07:53.744 [miner 0] INFO global src/cryptonote_basic/miner.cpp:416 Miner thread was started [0]
this is the start message for the miner.
I have no idea how to check my balance or on what pool i am mining. Hope someone can help

Hi guys, same similar question here. Would love if someone with more knowledge could guide us here.
As for my experience, I used the CLI wallet (not the paper one) to set it up. I can connect and basically start mining. However, after 10+ hours my balance is still 0, received over 4k blocks... not sure I get it.

Direct Mining will not get you anything. You need to use a miner that talks to a pool. Go get Sumo Easy Miner and configure it to use the electroneum.hashparty.io pool or some other user pool. Then you will start seeing results.
