Electroneum POOL MINER(hash rates and shares not showing/blank)
i also had the same problem.after 3 days and 12 hrs of searching i found that the minerd.exe which the pool miner uses is crashing. the main cause of this problem is that minerd.exe requires ur cpu to have AES(which all cpu's doesnt have) so minerd.exe force stops. i tried disabling DEP(data execution prevention but no luck)
so tried running a command prompt on minerd.exe directory and the ran the command "minerd -a cryptonight -o stratum+tcp://pool.electroneum.space:3333 -u etnkHDohfJcbmhoL4Ng8XE4frzftF586CbZtH4HdpcZ983eGWyD4RyTgWzxTwP2gXSVDCSYjhSDdR9xMmZCj4FzV6BmxjAPNGz -t 4"
and its shows "found a new block" and then the error "minerd.exe has stopped working"
so this was the main reasons for blank hash rates and shares.
to fix this i used one of the pool miners offered by "electroneum.hashparty.io/#getting_started"
note: before downloading disable the antivirus software
if it still detects restore the detected file and add an exemption
1) when i tried to use the GUI interface it did'nt worked it showed "connection timed out" infinitely
2)so i tried running minerd.exe CLI file. to do this do the following steps.
a)go to the directory where u downloaded the pool miner from above website. mine was "C:\Users\rejin\Downloads\cryptonote-easy-miner_v0.0.3"
b)browse to binaries>cpuminer>64bit
c)shift+(right click mouse button) to open a command window here
3)now copy paste the following command "minerd -a cryptonight -o stratum+tcp://pool.electroneum.space:3333 -u <ur wallet address> -t <no of threads>"
4) u can replace the pool:.electroneum.space with any pool like "asiapool.electroneum.com"
5) and ur mining
using direct miner
u can alternately download cpu direct miner for windows from here "github.com/electroneum/electroneum/releases/download/v0.11.0.0/win-x64-0.11.0.0.zip"
note: disable antivirus and include exeumption if required
1)run electroneumd.exe
2) let it synchronize
3)run "start_mining <wallet address> <threads>"
4)to check balance use electroneum-wallet-cli and use the method mentioned in this post "www.reddit.com/r/Electroneum/comments/7a8gbi/guide_how_to_check_the_balance_of_your_paper/"
NO balance:
another issue is that even after mining ur balance is zero
well my net speed is very low about 1mbps
so i only get a hash rate of 32H/s
so its rounds up to 2.75ETN per day which is very low
it tool me about an hour to just increase my balance to 0.02ETN.
I am a noob in mining if any information is wrong please ignore
