My H/S is pretty pathetic. I'm running the miner on a laptop - basically just want to feel like I"m 'actively' doing something while waiting for things to really get going mining on electroneum.hashparty.io but might switch after my next payout...

That's a great question, kiint. I'm still earning tiny amounts at the moment so I don't expect a payout for another day to day and a half. At that point, I guess I'll see if there is a pool being recommended, otherwise, I'll stick with this one It's highly unscientific, I'm just new to mining and cryptocurrency in general and trying to learn as much as I can...

You are not alone at all! I am in the same boat, which is why I am asking. Have looked at them all and hashparty is the only one paying out, so would be interested to know if there are alternatives.

Hey lads, creator here. The website was down because of all the reddit traffic, but I've switched hosts & added SSL and it's all up and running again! As for the wallet address that appears when you first start it up, that's my address. The box automatically clears when you go to enter your own address, and a reminder is posted at the bottom of the window, it's there so that the program doesn't throw any errors if someone decides to start mining without entering their own address, as well as to serve as a 'donation' feature where you can mine to that address whilst working out your mining settings. petesnewusername, the copy of cpuminer bundled with my frontend program only supports 100% supports Intel Core i3/i5/17 cpus, other cpus might work but I haven't tested them. If the window does not stay open, then your system isn't currently supported, although it would help you could reply with your system specifications so I can have a look for a future update. In addition GPU Mining has been added. If your system meets all of the above specified requirements and STILL doesn't work, your antivirus might be blocking certain aspects of the zip from running. Thanks for using my front-end, I hope this information helps. Trying this but won't start , the mining window does not stay open long enough to read what is happening when I click start mining so I have no clue....... I have made an exception in the anti virus program which seems ok so I don't know what is going on with it.

Really? Unlike any of the other miners that are all flagged as viruses as well? "ANTI-VIRUS FALSE WARNING: Often, virus scanners flag mining software as malicious since attackers often install this software on other users' computers without them knowing. The anti-virus companies are correctly protecting you from this, but you are choosing to mine Electroneum, which is perfectly SAFE." From downloads.electroneum.com/
