The subject says it all  Was wondering if someone could explain the 3333, 5555, 7777 port addresses we can use. I have been running at 7777 because I thought since it was the highest difficulty port, I'd get paid off better for mining. However I was getting as of this morning, an average of 1.38 ETN per hour. I immediately did an experiment and changed my port to 3333 and ran for 3 1/2 hours. I ended up making 2.28 ETN per hour. I'm curious as to why anyone would even use the higher port, if the lowest one pays out the best for mining effort? |

You will get the best payout for the difficulty that most closely matches your rig capability, you are getting a better profit from 3333 because your rig is low end, my rig does best on 5555, because its mid tier

Also be aware putting mid-high end rigs on low ports may cause you to be banned. Match the hashrate to the port, you get the same return and do not flood the port and cause yourself grief.

So I guess hashrate determines the hardware's tier but what is considered low, mid and high?

You will need to experiment, but from what I have seen less than 1KH/s is 3333, more is 5555. Your mileage will vary and if you are submitting hashs every 5 seconds you need to move up to a higher difficulty (higher port number).

I'm curious about that too, because I have a decent system i-7 6800k 3.4Ghz 32 mb ram with GTX 1080 FTW ACX 3.0 (20 multi-streaming processors). I wouldn't call that low end, and am also wondering what your mid tier is  |

Low end compared to what. There are people running rigs with 6 x 1080Ti's and that is mid-range. Lolz.

Low end compared to what. There are people running rigs with 6 x 1080Ti's and that is mid-range. Lolz. I would've thought low end would be a 4th gen cpu around 2.0 ghz with a gtx 900 series or radeon 7950. Guess I must be behind the times. |
