I 'd like to run the miner at startup. Of course I 'd put the executable in shell startup but that wont run the program simply open the miner. Then I need to manually click the start mining button to keep things go on. Is there any script that can run the program rather than just start?

are you talking about the "official" cpu miner? because awesomeminer can auto-startup at launch

That Beta miner is sucking major balls, mine works but I dont see any coins being deposit, I guess the block-chain is taking forever.
