Do you like the console type? GUI? Why? Speed and power? Ease of use? Lots of text? Fancy buttons? An extra 2 H/s? Let everyone else know! Now is the best time to start before ETN heads to the moon!
I have personally been using the xmr-stak miner for quite some time. It can be a little overwhelming at first, but there is much documentation on the GitHub page and other Monero forums. One of the things I like the most is it works will all my different hardware types. Nvidia GPUs, AMD GPUs, and CPUs can all be run at the same time with one miner! This is really nice if you have a rig with multiple GPUs from both Nvidia and AMD. It also can switch between different pools if one goes down while you are mining, so you never miss a beat! The miner walks you through step by step when you first start it up (Monero is the coin you should pick when it asks you) and will get you running with the default settings. It can get more complicated as you begin to tweak settings to get your maximum hash rate by changing values in the config files. You don't need to do this, but I was able to get a couple hundred more H/s out of my GPU by doing so. Many people post their settings on other forums for specific hardware, so a quick Google search should yield some results. The GitHub page claims it works on all operating systems, but I can't speak to that as I only run it on Windows.

If GUI is more your style, I would check out MinerGate. It has a very nice, simple, and easy to use interface, great for the beginner and the hobbyist alike. It works with Windows, Mac, and Linux as well as all hardware types. It also comes preloaded with other CryptoNote coins ready to mine. Since Electroneum also uses the CryptoNote algorithm, you can add it to the list of minable coins. Check out the video below to set up MinerGate with your favorite Electroneum pools!
