I have the chance of getting a very cheap machine with a Core2Quad and a Radeon HD 6970.

Right now mining on a couple of Macs and I'm getting about 250 HS

Anyone using a HD6970 or even a Core2Quad?

What kind of hash rate might I get with this old PC gear?

Look at the table here: monerobenchmarks.info/ (there is a "Search" field there)
