Hi there miners and hodlers, since the announcement of Electroneum I'm thrilled that it's finally becoming accessible for everyone to get involved in cryptocurrencies. Up until now me and a lot of people I know had the feeling that you need to be a "tech geek" to buy bitcoins, ethereum or even start mining. To make mining Electroneum even easier than it already is, I teamed up with a friend to create a super simple and easy-to-use mining pool. We launched a few days ago and you can visit us at minekitten.io/. With a configurator for creating a custom miner, crypto term explanations for beginners and a friendly, approachable design we aim to help getting more users into cryptocurrencies. One thing we lack is visibility, to get a healthy user base a lot more people need to know about our pool. It's free, non-commercial, no fees for now. That's it. We'd love if you could help us reach more people and make crypto mining mainstream beyond the typical "tech geek" bubble. In any case, we'd love to get your feedback! For the "tech geeks": Payment scheme is Roundbased proportional. Server is running on Azure to ensure scalability and stability. Common Stratum Exploits are fixed of course. NiceHash Port is not just running with a different difficulty but also with customized NiceHash config to gain about 5% hashrate on the pool (Not on the payment on NiceHash of course  ) |

Hey guys, since Electroneum is the first cryptocurrency that is especially targeted to be accessible by a broad range of people, we decided to make mining a bit easier, without that configuration stuff (or at least, with less) we decided to setup minekitten.io which comes with a configurator for Mac & Windows, CPU & GPU mining and a lot of hopefully easy to understand explanations. And since we believe in ETN and our mission to make it even more accessible, pool fee is down to 0.4% to just offset our costs. We would love you to check it out and give some feedback. Telegram channel is also available. Thanks for this but I do have an error message when I run as administrator , see screenshot attached : Any ideas what I can do ?  |

Yeah, we knew. But we tested everything so we can ensure a stable connection and everything. That's why we also choose Azure and no low-end servers. And that's why we also build some decent UI and some auto generated miners. We want to make ETN as accessible as possible.
We hope that a lot of people will get the idea and switch pool. It's for the sake of ETN and disappointed users. Time to make it accessible as promised.

Yeah we keep hoping. Though still missing some "advertisment". It's hard to get to that point where a critical user count is reached and blocks are found frequently... *sigh*

What bugs me a little bit, is the fact that in the last 24h since the launch 206 customized miners were built and downloaded. Not heard of much problems so far, though just a little percentage of those 206 miners actually connected at least once. We should have integrated some kind of User analytics bla bla bla

Telegram channel is also available. Downloaded and tried the Official Direct miner and the Official pool miner from Electroneum site. The pool miner works..sort of.. I can start mining and after a minute or so the miner output stops, I stop mining and start and again, after a minute or so it stops... after a day and a half of starting and stopping I had over 307000 hashes submitted. The direct miner worked too but most of the time it was idle and no action or very little action......so, I went to minekitten.io downloaded the pool miner and in one hour of running and not babysitting, or starting/stopping I submitted over 345000 hashes. 6 hours later and Last Share Submitted: less than a minute ago Hash Rate: 141.99 H/secTotal Hashes Submitted: 2025135 (est.) My CPU is running at an avg of 60% So far, everything is smooth. 1. Just wondering when the rewards (ETN) start rolling in 2. Joined the Telegram group, but unable to make comments in there Thanks Minekitten! Making this Newbee happy....just need to start seeing some ETN dropping into my wallet! |

Possibly the boat has already sailed. Most people looking for easy have already gone, dedicated miners are using hashparty. A nicehash + advert boost might work but you never know.
